My wife and I spent three weeks in the south of France this past summer. She was working with PHD candidates in Economics while I was out and about painting watercolors en plein air. We also spent a week in Oxford, UK where she worked with other economists on various projects, and I had the pleasure of painting the area landscape. We will return again this coming summer.
I did two studies of this impressive century plant which grew along a walkway on the hillside above our hotel in Nice.
